Course Description:   This course will review the proper size tools that are needed to install and make adjustments of positioning components, TB3 fine depth adjustment, and adjustments on the Articulating Foot Platform (AFP) upon delivery of a Pride Quantum Power Wheelchair. It is important for a technician to have knowledge on how to install and adjust various components on a Quantum Power Wheelchair to meet the end users’ needs and comfort.

Learning Objectives:  

At the conclusion of the course the participant will be able to:

  1. Identify at least (3) common size tools that are needed for installing/adjusting positioning components.
  2. Manipulate positioning components to better service the consumers need.
  3. Identify (2) positioning components that uses this two different hardware.

Agenda:

  • Hour 1
  • Discuss the proper size tools that are needed to install and adjust pelvic positioning components and how to install them.
  • Discuss the proper size tools that are needed to install and adjust lower extremities positioning components and how to install them.
  • Discuss the proper size tools that are needed to install and adjust trunk positioning components and how to install them.
  • Discuss the proper size tools that are needed to install and adjust head/neck positioning components and how to install them.
  • Discuss the proper size tools that are needed to install and adjust upper extremities positioning components and how to install them.
